Semana de la Seguridad: Promoviendo el Bienestar y el Cuidado de Nuestra Comunidad Educativa

Entre el lunes 25 y el viernes 29 de mayo, nuestra comunidad educativa vivió una enriquecedora Semana de la Seguridad, instancia que reunió diversas actividades orientadas a fortalecer el bienestar, la prevención y el cuidado de todos quienes forman parte de nuestro establecimiento.

La programación comenzó con la actividad “Cuidarme para Educar”, dirigida a docentes y asistentes de la educación, cuyo propósito fue promover el autocuidado y la importancia del bienestar emocional en el ejercicio de la labor educativa.

Durante la semana también se desarrolló la charla “Prevención del Suicidio”, destinada a padres y/o apoderados de estudiantes desde 6° Básico hasta 4° Medio. Esta instancia permitió entregar información, herramientas y estrategias para abordar oportunamente situaciones de riesgo y fortalecer las redes de apoyo familiar.

El miércoles 27 de mayo se llevó a cabo el simulacro de evacuación “Rápidos y Seguros”, ejercicio que permitió poner en práctica los protocolos de emergencia del establecimiento, teniendo como punto de encuentro seguro el estacionamiento Santo Tomás. La actividad se desarrolló de manera ordenada y comprometida por parte de estudiantes y funcionarios.

La creatividad y el talento también estuvieron presentes el jueves 28 de mayo con la realización del 4° Festival de la Voz “Expresarte es Cuidarte”, una jornada llena de música y emoción, donde nuestros estudiantes artistas demostraron sus habilidades y compartieron un espacio de sana convivencia y expresión personal.

Finalmente, la semana culminó con una intervención organizada por el Departamento de Convivencia Educativa bajo el lema “Aula sin Violencia, es un Aula Segura”, iniciativa que invitó a reflexionar sobre la importancia del respeto, el buen trato y la construcción de ambientes seguros para el aprendizaje.

Between May 25 and May 29, our educational community took part in an enriching Safety Week, which brought together a variety of activities aimed at promoting well-being, prevention, and care for everyone in our school community.

The program began with the activity "Taking Care of Myself to Educate", designed for teachers and educational assistants. Its purpose was to promote self-care and highlight the importance of emotional well-being in educational work.

During the week, a workshop entitled "Suicide Prevention" was also held for parents and guardians of students from 6th Grade through 12th Grade. This session provided information, tools, and strategies to identify and address risk situations in a timely manner while strengthening family support networks.

On Wednesday, May 27, the evacuation drill "Fast and Safe" took place. This exercise allowed students and staff to practice the school's emergency protocols, with the Santo Tomás parking lot serving as the designated safe meeting point. The activity was carried out in an orderly and committed manner by both students and staff members.

Creativity and talent were also showcased on Thursday, May 28, during the 4th Voice Festival, "Expressing Yourself is Taking Care of Yourself." This event was filled with music and excitement, providing our talented student performers with the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities while enjoying a positive environment for personal expression and healthy coexistence.

Finally, the week concluded with an intervention organized by the Educational Coexistence Department under the theme "A Violence-Free Classroom is a Safe Classroom." This initiative encouraged reflection on the importance of respect, kindness, and the creation of safe learning environments for all.
